Health Informatics and Intelligent Decision-Making (HIIDM) laboratory was established in February 2010, and currently there are three faculties (one professor, one associate professor, and one lecturer), two Ph.D. students, and 16 postgraduate students. Our team focuses on automation theory and its application in medical field and intelligent decision-making problems. The main research interests include health informatics (artificial pancreas, intensive care unit, and anesthesia process), batch processes, wireless sensor network, learning-type control algorithms (iterative learning control, repetitive control, and run-to-run control), fault-tolerant control and state monitoring, model predictive control, and so on.
Our team pays attention to train the students' comprehensive quality, especially research capability and innovation thinking. We hold academic seminars regularly every week in order to guide students to carry out academic exchanges and discussions, encourage and support (provide financial aid to) students to attend academic conferences. Currently, our team carries on 15 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation, the Beijing Nova Program, an EFSD/CDS/Lilly grant, and so on. We also pay much attention to team management and construction, in order to create stimulating environment for the overall growth of each team member, hold team activities occasionally, enhance team vitality and relationship, and create a harmonious atmosphere.
Six students have received their master degree since the team's establishment. More than 30 papers (including 10 SCI papers) have been published in the last three years. One student received Zhang Zhong-Jun Academician Outstanding Paper Award, and one student received Outstanding Master's Thesis Award from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
The HIIDM lab will insist on training outstanding students and creating excellent achievements. Any student or postdoc with hard-working spirit and strong research interests is welcome to join our lab.
